Revisting the Bag of Evil and beyond

Recently I tool receipt of the MACTAC Bag from So Tech.  I was excited when I first saw it, and now that I have it, I think it is about as close to the perfect Bag Of Evil.  Whenever I get a new bag I take a hard look at what I am carrying and adjust fire if needed.  Just for the fun of it I made the mistake looking on Youtube for "EDC Bag Contents" and of course all I find is videos of guys packing a bag full of 75 pounds of "good to have" things, including lots, and lots of knives, and for some reason lots of flex cuffs and or handcuffs.  Most of thee are really what most call BOBs, AKA a bag so heavy and full of stuff that there is no way I will have it with me when I need it.

For those who are not familiar the Bag Of Evil concept is about having a bag full of useful things within arms reach at all times, or as much as possible.   In the very near future I will be doing a series of articles on my-

1st Line / EDC Gear- the stuff in your pockets
2nd Line / Bag Of Evil-  stuff you either need with you all the time, or things you have with you all the time.
3rd Line / Bag Of Evil Extended- what many would call a BOB, for me more of a deployment bag

With this concept you have a level of redundancy for things that are important like water, signal, first aid, and fire.  I don't want to give away too much more.  Stay tuned.
