How to prepare for bad situations - Lesson I The Inisde Out Principle

With all the information out there in reference to all things related to personal protection and preparedness it is easy to become overwhelmed.  Now I don’t know about you but when I get overwhelmed by too much information too fast I just shut down.  The goal of this series of posts will be to help you sort through it all.

We are going to use something I call the “Inside Out Principle”  The definition of IOP is simply to first prepare to personally handle the most likely scenarios first.  The way we facilitate this in classes is to just have a conversation or write down what you believe are the most likely personal protection and preparedness scenarios for you based on the environments you frequent.  In the beginning don’t bother to make any distinctions between the threats whether they come from man, nature, or the environment itself.  In the next post we will talk about using that information to prepare for the most likely first.
