Cleveland Airport TSA Weapons Seizures

I was getting ready to go through screening at the Cleveland Airport on my way home from teaching a Total Officer Survival course when I saw this hanging up on the wall.  Things like this interest me because they provide us with great examples of what people actually carry, and what we may actually face on the street.  I really wanted to take a picture but did not want people to fast rope out of the ceiling and tackle me either.

I tapped on the glass and showed the two TSA guys in the booth my retired LE credendetials and asked if they would be willing to take a picture of their display on my phone.  I have to admit I was kind of amazed with how police and accommodating they were.  The younger of the two took the picture with my camera.

If you toss out the kitchen knives, you can see where I get me belief that you are more likely to face a folding knife than a fixed blade, and that the average size of the blade will be about 3 inches.  But for some reason people l love to work with training knives that are 2-3 times that size.  If nothing else, it is just an interesting collection.
