Socks, as basic as it gets

Last year, at the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show, I was drawn to a crowded booth out of curiosity to see what they were selling.  Turned out that the booth belonged to Kentucky Royalty who produces socks utilizing Alpaca.  Shawn from Kentucky Royalty reluctantly shared with me, and my son Frank, that unlike Wool socks, the Alpaca socks, because they contain 12% silver/nylon, can be worn for several days without stinking.  Something Frank field tested and found to be true at Scout camp that summer.

Over the years, I have tried several high end socks, but since trying those from Kentucky Royalty I have been using them exclusively.  They are super comfortable and wick well in hot and cold conditions, and as previously mentioned do not stink.  This is huge when you are in the woods or traveling and want to travel light.  At the end of the day, you just turn them inside out and they are good to go the next day.

So, if you are looking for some new socks for the spring, consider trying some Alpaca.
